By Wavelength Marketing20th November 2013November 15th, 2016News

We were recently invited to run a Strategic Brand Planning session in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 20/21 November 2013.  Delegates from Malaysia, Brunei, Sri Lanka and Mozambique attended the two-day executive level session.  Brands from a spectrum of interesting industries attended. These included brands operating in financial services, telecoms, power and more were present in the room. The two days were guided by our strategic brand canvas.  This takes delegates through structured nine-stage brand plan creation process that starts with detailed customer profiling right through to brand performance management.

This was the first time we’d run the session in Malaysia and it seemed to go down quite well:

Dércio Costa, Head of Group Communications, MCel, Mozambique noted:

“Darren has excellent knowledge in brand management with a very oriented methodologies.  A mix of marketing and brand strategies lessons that really excites.  I will always remember: “products don’t sell, brand does”.

Commenting on the session, Ben Lin, Head of Marketing, Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) outlined:

“Darren is very passionate and knowledgeable on branding and communications and able to turn abstract branding concepts into practical examples.”

Jazlyn Lee, Assistant Conference Manager, UNI Strategic who invited Darren to Malaysia notes:

“Building on the success of previous Product Launch Marketing workshops Darren recently he did a fantastic job in facilitating Brand Strategy Materclass in Kuala Lumpur. Attendees found the session was very interactive and practical, the materials presented were very useful in improving the brand strategy back at their organizations.  It was a pleasure to work with Darren and I hope to be able to do so again in the future.”

Here’s a short clip rounding up the session and distributing the awards…Small but great group.
